WBC confirm Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder's drug test results

Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder – round by round
The World Boxing Council (WBC) have confirmed Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder both passed all of their drug tests nearly three weeks on.
Fury dismantled the ‘Bronze Bomber’ in seven rounds to become WBC champion and is now just the second fighter after Riddick Bowe to have held all four major world titles (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) in the heavyweight division.
President Mauricio Sulaiman introduced Voluntary Anti-Doping Association [VADA] into the WBC Clean Boxing Program in a bid to stop drug cheats from competing in the sport. Any fighter who refuses to enroll onto the program is removed from the WBC rankings.
The WBC confirmed both heavyweights had passed all of their tests provided and said in a statement: "World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder, came out clean in the doping tests conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association as part of the successful Clean Boxing Program.
“We want to thank both warriors and their respective teams for their willingness to sign up for the Clean Boxing Program and demonstrate that they are both exemplary athletes, who testify to their honesty and commitment to boxing."
The ‘Gypsy King’ will once again take on Wilder this summer after the American triggered his rematch clause. The trilogy between the pair is expected to happen in July despite promoter Bob Arum unsure of the date.
Speaking about the bout, Arum said: “We’ll be discussing that with the PBC people that promote Wilder. The contract provides a date of July 18th as the final date of the fight, but of course, we’ll be discussing all options in the next day or two,” said Fury’s promoter Bob Arum to ESPN.
“July 18th is the last date, and then there are injury provisions and that sort of thing.
Pulev will KO Joshua
Arum also has another heavyweight showdown in June with mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev taking on unified champion Anthony Joshua in London. The Top Rank mogul is predicting his fighter to stun ‘AJ’ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“Anthony Joshua is getting knocked out on June 20th at Tottenham Stadium in London by my guy Kubrat Pulev,” he said.
“Take it to the bank. There won’t be an Anthony Joshua after June 20. I would have no problems working with him [Eddie Hearn] on a big unification show, but I’m telling you, it ain’t going to happen.”
The Hall of Fame promoter will have a busy night on June 13 as he’ll jet across the UK to see two fights within hours of each other. Carl Frampton bids to become the first three-division world champion in Irish boxing history against Jermell Herring.
The pair will go to battle for the WBO super-featherweight title in Belfast with Arum expected to be ringside for the bout before landing in London to witness Joshua-Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
