WATCH: Insane moment as Polish MMA fighter takes down and ground strikes opponent in boxing debut

Polish MMA fighter Marcin Sianos produced an unforgettable boxing debut on Saturday night.

Sianos took on unbeaten 8-0 prospect Artur Bizewski on the undercard of Adam Kownacki’s heavyweight clash with Kacper Meyna.

Two rounds into the fight, Sianos looked impressive as he rocked his opponent and appeared to be heading for an early finish.

The Pole certainly got the early finish, but not in the way anyone expected. Sianos seemingly forgot he was involved in a boxing bout as he took down his dazed opponent before unleashing a ground and pound attack.

This inevitably led to a disqualification and angered a group of fans who attempted to enter the ring. The irate supporters also threw objects into the ring as Sianos was escorted out of the venue.

The 8-7 MMA fighter took to social media to react to the crazy scenes in Koszalin, Poland. 

Writing on Instagram, he said: “I would like to refer to my fight yesterday.

“At the very beginning, I'd like to thank Artur Bizewski for the duel. At the same time, my deepest apologies for my unsportsmanliness in the ring... there is no explanation for this, it is reprehensible and I clearly deserved disqualification.

“Throughout the difficult preparation period, a similar situation has never occurred during any of the sparring matches. I didn't knock anyone out or elbow anyone, we were training pure boxing.

"I myself can't explain my behaviour yesterday. I guess I might not be in a professional boxing ring anymore. But I personally think that victory by disqualifying your opponent is not something to be proud of.
