The Planet Sport Boxing Show: Can Joe Joyce compete at world level?

Mark Smith and Joe Hewlett return with the latest episode and discuss Saturday's fight between Joyce and Takam...

Joe Joyce extended his record to 13-0 by overcoming a determined Carlos Takam inside six rounds.
The 2016 Olympian, who was behind on the scorecards, retained his status as WBO mandatory in the heavyweight division.
However, with Oleksandr Usyk taking on Anthony Joshua on September 25, it means Joyce may have to wait another 12 months to challenge for world honours.
"AJ" and Usyk will collide for the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles and Joshua is promising to expose his opponent.

The Olympics continues this week and Team GB are making encouraging progress with the likes of Karris Artingstall and Galal Yafai leading the way.

Since the recording of the show, Pat McCormack and Caroline Dubois have advanced into the next round of their categories while heavyweight Chev Clarke tasted a split decision elimination.

Elsewhere, the show previews Fight Camp 2.0. Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing will bring fans the opening weekend of three upcoming cards to take place at Matchroom's HQ and the first will see Conor Benn headline.

The welterweight previously dispatched Samuel Vargas inside 80 seconds and returns against Mexican Adrian Granados on DAZN.

His opponent has faced former world champions Adrien Broner, Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter.

With Benn's profile rising, we assess whether he will live up to his pre-fight favourite tag and if a fight against Amir Khan towards the end of the year is realistic.
