Sam Eggington vs Abass Baraou: Fight card and where to watch the European title showdown

Sam Eggington returns to action this Friday night as he takes on Abass Baraou for the European super-welterweight championship.

The Savage is on a two-fight win streak since losing his IBO super-welterweight title to Dennis Hogan in late 2022.

TKO victories over James McCarthy and Joe Pigford have put Eggington on a path towards the European title, with Baraou standing in his way this Friday night.

The German boxer arrives in Telford with a five-fight winning run under his belt. His last success came in December, picking up a unanimous decision over Hugo Noriega.

Baraou boasts a 14-1 professional record, with his sole defeat coming against Jack Culcay by split decision back in 2020.

Eggington, on the other hand, has a 34-8 record with 20 knockouts on his record.

The main event ringwalks are scheduled for 10pm GMT. Channel 5 will broadcast the European title bout over in the UK. Fans can also watch on DAZN. Below is the full fight card.
