Natasha Jonas will put her IBF title on the line against Mikaela Mayer this Saturday night as the American looks to pull off a championship heist in Liverpool.

Jonas, who beat Kandi Wyatt for the title last July, will headline an arena fight in her home city for the first time in her pro career.

The Brit is on a five-fight winning run, last losing back in 2021 against the indomitable Katie Taylor.

Mayer will pose a serious threat to Jonas’ title reign as the former unified super-featherweight champion looks to make her mark at welterweight.

The 33-year-old has a height advantage over Jonas and enters the bout on the back of successive victories over Lucy Wildheart and Silvia Bortot.

Both those successes came after Mayer’s split-decision loss to Alycia Baumgardner back in October 2022. That remains the only blemish on her professional record.

Also on the card, Jack Cullen will be looking to successfully defend his British and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles.

Cullen picked up the belts last September with a third round TKO victory over Mark Heffron in Manchester.

His opponent this Saturday is fellow Brit Zak Chelli. The 26-year-old suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Mark Jeffers back in July but came back strong with a fourth-round knockout win over Jordan Grannum three months later.
