Mike Tyson admits he offered zookeeper $10,000 to fight silverback gorilla

"I offered the attendant $10,000 to open the cage and let me smash that silverback's snot box! He declined.”

A prime Mike Tyson could have knocked any fighter out in boxing history.
During his hell-raising days, Mike earned his name as the Baddest Man on the Planet with victories over the likes of Larry Holmes and Trevor Berbick.

Outside of the ring, he nearly had a brawl with NBA superstar Michael Jordan at a birthday event, according to his former co-manager.

But it wasn't just sports athletes Tyson wanted to KO, though.
Iron Mike - heavyweight's youngest world champion - admitted he also wanted to fight a silverback gorilla back in the day.
"I paid a worker at New York's zoo to re-open it just for me and [ex wife] Robin [Givens]," Tyson said about a story which may have happened in 1988.
"When we got to the gorilla cage there was one big silverback gorilla there just bullying all the other gorillas.
"They were so powerful but their eyes were like an innocent infant. I offered the attendant $10,000 to open the cage and let me smash that silverback's snot box! He declined."
Tyson is well known for his love for animals so his admission is a surprise.
Especially when there was a time he would let big cats out of cages to sleep with him in bed.
The American legend is a different person these days and often posts pictures of him playing with his dog Mars.
As for his fighting days, his career has resumed at the age of 54 with Tyson recently returning to face Roy Jones Jr.

Tyson has claimed he will fight former rival Lennox Lewis in September in an exhibition.
