Mark Chamberlain vs Artjoms Ramlavs: Full card, start time as IBF European belt hangs in the balance
Mark Chamberlain will be looking to successfully defend his IBF European championship for a third time when he takes on Artjoms Ramlavs this Friday night.
The 24-year-old headlines Queensberry’s latest show as he puts his unblemished 13-0 record against one of Latvia’s top talents.
Chamberlain was last in action back in June when he picked up a TKO victory over Marvin Demollari, with the Italian’s corner throwing the towel in the very first round.
Four months prior, the European champion dropped Vairo Lenti in the fifth round with a devastating left hook.
Ramlavs, on the other hand, returns to action for the first time since February when he picked up a unanimous decision win over Eduardo Costa Do Nascimento.
That was his first outing since a disgraceful event in Poland which saw Ramlavs literally stripped of his IBO Continental belt inside the ring by a promoter.
This came after the judges initially awarded the points win for the Latvian, only for the supervisor to announce that it was actually opponent Damian Wrzesinski who won got the decision.
The York Hall event comes on the back of an incredible fortnight for Frank Warren and his promotion.
After announcing two mega cards in Saudi Arabia, the veteran boxing supremo put on a truly ‘Magnificent’ card in Manchester last weekend, featuring some of the best British talents.
Friday’s show will be broadcast live on TNT Sports, with coverage starting from 7pm.
