‘Logan Paul can’t really fight’ - Floyd Mayweather will not be worried, says Badou Jack
The Mayweather Promotions fighter has backed the 50-0 legend to overcome the “bigger and younger” YouTuber on Sunday night.
Badou Jack has claimed that Logan Paul's age and weight advantage will not matter on Sunday night against Floyd Mayweather.
The long-awaited exhibition bout between Mayweather and Paul takes place this Sunday (June 6) at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
This crossover matchup was originally set to take place in February but it got delayed as a result of disputes over the purses and location of the fight.
Mayweather's last professional fight came in 2017 against UFC great Conor McGregor. He stopped the MMA star in the tenth round.
The 44-year-old has since had one exhibition bout. In December 2018, he faced Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa. Mayweather won via TKO in the first round after he dropped his young opponent three times.
Paul has only had one professional fight. This came against fellow YouTuber KSI at the Staples Center, Los Angeles in November 2019. The American lost the six-round contest via split decision.
Jack has told Boxing Scene that there are "levels in boxing" so Mayweather will still come out on top:
Jack will fight the undefeated light heavyweight, Derbin Colina, on the Mayweather vs Paul undercard. 'The Ripper' previously fought on the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr card at the end of last year.
"It's a new era of boxing," Jack said. "It's entertainment. All of the other champions - Tyson, Muhammad Ali, De La Hoya - everybody did exhibitions. So, why can't Floyd do it and make a ton of money? So, I ain't mad at him."
"I don't think Jake Paul is gonna fight a real fighter. He'll keep making money fighting other celebrities. It's not boxing. It's YouTube boxing. But I heard even Evander Holyfield called him out. All of the boxers and all of the UFC fighters are calling him out, so I guess he's doing something right, you know?"

Can Paul cause a seismic upset?
The best we can hope for is that Paul lands one or two shots on Mayweather to add a little bit of excitement to what will otherwise be a non-event.
Even with that, this will be a procession for Mayweather and he will be laughing all the way to the bank…
