Leo Santa Cruz: I'll beat Gervonta Davis and become a five-division champion
Cab Santa Cruz deliver a huge upset on Halloween Weekend against Mayweather's protege?
Leo Santa Cruz is looking forward to going into his bout against Gervonta Davis as the underdog. The WBA junior lightweight champion takes on "Tank" on October 31 at the Alamodome and has the chance to snap Davis' unbeaten 23-0 record.
Santa Cruz has racked up five successive wins which included the four-division world champion avenging his sole defeat to Carl Frampton. "El Terremoto" will challenge Davis for the WBA 'regular' title in a stacked lightweight division that consists of Teofimo Lopez, Vasyl Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia, Jorge Linares and Devin Haney.
"I'm looking forward to being the main event on pay-per-view. We're going to lay it all out on the line and give a great show for the fans," Santa Cruz said.
"People thought I didn’t want to fight big names or challenging opponents, so who better to fight than @Gervontaa? He has great skills and power. I’m going to show that I’m not scared of anyone." @leosantacruz2 #DavisSantaCruz pic.twitter.com/d1mxqDXEEO

"I'll be making history as a five-division world champion from Mexico if I win. I think the winner of the fight deserves to be on the pound-for-pound top 10 list, that just makes this fight even more important."
