WATCH: Josh Kelly vs. David Avanesyan - shots fired at 'conman' Adam Booth

In a fiery press conference, David Avanesyan's manager Neil Marsh pulled no punches in sharing his worries over Josh Kelly and Adam Booth ahead of March 28.

Replying to Eddie Hearn, Marsh admitted he was concerned as to whether 'Pretty Boy' Kelly would 'turn up' after previously pulling out from a clash with Avanesyan in December 2018. "The fact is, Adam Booth is a conman. Don't be fooled by the way he talks," Marsh said before handing over a rose and pack of condoms to Booth on Valentine's Day... when you think you've seen it all.
The 2016 Olympian will take on Avanesyan of Russia at London's O2 Arena with the European welterweight title up for grabs. Light-heavyweight sensation Joshua Buatsi, potential foe Conor Benn and debutant Ellie Scotney are all set to feature on the undercard at London's O2 Arena.
Kelly, an avid Sunderland fan, is undefeated from 11 bouts and will return to the ring for the first time since his unanimous decision victory over Wiston Campos in December. Hearn has hinted at an opportunity to fight at the Stadium of Light could be on offer for Kelly if he prevails next month.
"We've had a hell of a ride together and Josh has fought on some huge undercards on his way up," the Matchroom promoter told the Sunderland Echo.
"Wembley, the O2, Cardiff, Madison Square... This is now his first big headline show against Avanesyan and then we can look to take him forward again.
"For Josh, the goal absolutely has to be Sunderland. Hopefully a world title fight. We must have a fight at the Stadium of Light. We must," he added.

Welterweight scene

While a fight of that magnitude would be huge for Kelly and the North East, securing a fight with one of the world champions at welterweight may be a struggle.
WBC and IBF titlist Errol Spence Jr. is set to fight a mandatory next before possibly taking on Danny Garcia, WBO king Terrance Crawford wants a unification with either Spence or Manny Pacquiao while the 'Pacman' himself recently signed for Paradigm SM, fuelling rumours of a showdown with Conor McGregor, who is also represented by the same agency.
If Kelly can get through Avanesyan in what many see as a genuine 50/50, then British fans would welcome a domestic dust-up against Benn with open arms.
