  • Jack Catterall Out Boxes Darragh Foley To Claim A One Sided Unanimous Decision Victory

Jack Catterall out-boxes Darragh Foley to claim a one-sided unanimous decision victory

English boxer Jack Catterall ended his nearly year-and-a-half sabbatical with a thoroughly dominant performance against a lacklustre Darragh Foley at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Jack Catterall made short work of Darragh Foley as he bounced back strong after more than a year since his last fight.
Jack Catterall, a former title challenger, spoke at length before the fight about how he felt he was vastly superior to his Australian opponent and back up his words with an equally impressive performance.
The 29-year-old knocked Foley down twice en route to a unanimous 99-88, 98-89 and 97-90 decision in his first fight since he lost to Josh Taylor in February last year.
Foley was always the underdog in the fight but everyone expected a better performance from the veteran, who was in some of the best form of his 10-year career having won his five previous bouts leading up to it.
However, Catterall's contempt for his opponent was justified almost from the opening bell as he dominated from start to finish.
The Chorley-born boxer will now look to gain momentum and move on with his career after the controversy that arose from his loss to Taylor.
