Floyd Mayweather Jr exhibition ends in mass brawl; police forced to clear FLA Live Arena in Florida

Floyd Mayweather's exhibition bout with the grandson of a former New York crime boss descended into utter chaos.

Floyd Mayweather's latest exhibition bout gave fans a lot more than they bargained for as a mass brawl ensued following the conclusion of the fight.

The former world champion was taking on 30-year-old John Gotti III who is the grandson of infamous New York crime boss, John Gotti.
The fight, which was scheduled for eight two-minute rounds, was stopped in the sixth by referee Kenny Bayliss.
Gotti, who was outclassed throughout the bout, took offence to the referee's decision, and continued to go after Mayweather.
This inevitably sparked a mass brawl both in the ring and behind the scenes as the police were forced to clear the arena.
Since retiring in 2017, Mayweather has appeared in several exhibition bouts against Logan Paul, Deji Olatunji and Aaron Chalmers.
The boxing legend, who ended his professional career with a 50-0 record, filmed a short video on social media following the event.
He said, as quoted by the BBC: "That's why they pay the big bucks, because I put on a show."
