Eddie Hearn compared to Donald Trump following Tyson Fury comments

Trump
It’s fair to say Eddie Hearn’s latest comments haven’t gone down well with Bob Arum and Frank Warren.
Fresh claims have been made by Martin Carefood, who claimed he misinformed courts about giving WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury uncastrated wild boar meat in 2015.
The farmer, who gave evidence in Fury’s positive drug test case, has said he lied in court with the promise of being paid a large chunk of cash by Fury.
With Dillian Whyte being ranked as No.1 challenger by the WBC, Hearn believes the ‘Bodysnatcher’ should be given the title if these claims are true.
“If I’m Dillian Whyte right now, I’m looking at that situation, knowing that if there is an issue with Tyson Fury as world champion, I become the WBC heavyweight world champion, because right now, he was suspended while an investigation was taking place,” Hearn told Sky Sports.
As you can imagine, his comments haven’t gone down well. Warren, who is Fury’s UK representative, thinks Hearn just wants to secure an easy shot for his fighter - just like he did with Anthony Joshua - and steal the WBC championship.
“Dillian Whyte’s promoter might be thinking he can nick the WBC heavyweight title for his man. But let me tell you it won’t be happening,” wrote Warren in his column for the Daily Star.
“This week Eddie Hearn has come out and said Whyte will be ‘looking’ at Tyson Fury’s situation. It comes after outrageous allegations were made against the current WBC champion in a newspaper interview last weekend.
“As I said then, I don’t expect UK Anti-Doping to take the matter any further.
“But what is Hearn’s game coming out with those comments? Is he trying to steal the title for Whyte?
“Why didn’t Hearn get his man a shot at the belt while he was in the No.1 position for so long? Is he now trying to get Whyte an easy shot at the title?
“That’s what happened for Anthony Joshua who picked up the IBF title by beating Charles Martin instead of having to beat the real best in the division.”
Hearn is similar to Trump
Arum is also unimpressed with Hearn. Alongside the Top Rank CEO, Fury has defeated Tom Schwartz, Otto Wallin and Deontay Wilder.
He is expected to face the latter again once the world recovers from the coronavirus outbreak before setting his attentions to Joshua. Arum has helped Fury become a U.S. attraction, with all three of his fights taking place in Las Vegas.
The Englishman attracted the biggest PPV numbers for a heavyweight fight since Lennox Lewis took on ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson in 2002. Like Warren, Arum isn’t too fond of Hearn despite doing business with him in recent years.
In a recent interview with iFL TV, Arum compared Hearn to America’s President Donald Trump.
“Trump is doing very poorly because he talks too much and he gets off message.
“Today in a press conference, he attacked the media, which he does whenever he doesn’t know what to say. The problem with Trump is he talks too much.
“It’s almost like Eddie Hearn is the president of the United States. That’s another guy that talks too much."
All we’ll say is, watch this space.
