Boxing schedule for 2024: Every major fight night, dates, venues and results

Planet Sport has all the latest dates, results and information for every major boxing fight night across the world in 2024.

The 2024 boxing calendar is sparkling with some more mouth-watering bouts.

After a long wait the huge undisputed heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk ended with the Ukrainian claiming a split decision victory in an enthralling night in Riyadh. The rematch which is scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia.

In September, Anthony Joshua's steady progress back to the top of the sport was halted by Daniel Dubois who defended his IBF world heavyweight title with a fifth-round knockout.

But there's plenty more to come this year, so Planet Sport provides the important information for the upcoming major title bouts this year and the results so far.

September 28

Terri Harper beat Rhiannon Dixon by unanimous decision to land the WBO world lightweight belt and become a three-weight world champion.

 

September 27

Mikaela Mayer won the WBO welterweight title after a majority decision victory over Sandy Ryan, who was hit with a can of red paint ahead of the fight in New York.

 

September 21

Anthony Joshua’s career rebuild suffered a devastating setback after he collapsed to a brutal fifth-round knockout by Daniel Dubois at Wembley, who retained his IBF world heavyweight title.

IBF super-featherweight champion Anthony Cacace claimed a unanimous decision win over Josh Warrington to remain unbeaten since 2017.

England's Joshua Buatsi dumped Willy Hutchinson on the canvas twice before eventually claiming a split decision victory and the WBO interim light-heavyweight title.

Unbeaten Hamzah Sheeraz took just two rounds to dispatch Tyler Denny to claim the European middleweight title.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez retained his unified super-middleweight world champion status after a unanimous decision over Edgar Berlanga In Las Vegas.

Erislandy Lara retained his WBA middleweight title with a comfortable ninth-round TKO win over Danny Garcia.

 

September 3

Naoya Inoue extended his unbeaten run to 28 fights and 25 stoppages and retained his WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC super-bantamweight titles after beating TJ Doheny in Tokyo.

Yoshiki Takei retained his WBO bantamweight title after a close unanimous decision over Daigo Higa.

 

August 10

Vergil Ortiz shrugged off two knockdowns to defeat Serhii Bohachuk by majority decision to win the WBC 'Interim' light middleweight belt at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

 

August 3

Terence Crawford battled is way through 12 gruelling rounds to become a four-weight world champion after a unanimous-decision victory over Israil Madrimov.

Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela claimed the WBA super-lightweight title after beating Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz on a split decision.

David Morrell beat Radivoje “Hot Rod” Kalajdzic over 12 rounds to win the vacant WBA 'regular' light-heavyweight title in Los Angeles.

July 27

Derek Chisora claimed a unanimous decision victory over Joe Joyce after 10 rounds at the O2 Arena in London.

Claressa Shields dropped Lepage-Joanisse three times in the second round to secure a TKO victory and become the new WBC heavyweight world champion in Detroit, Michigan.

She also picked up the vacant WBO light heavyweight title in the process adding to her previously won undisputed crowns at middleweight and junior middleweight, and unified titles at super middleweight - making her a five-division world champion.

 

July 20

Jake Paul saw off the challenge of bare-knuckle boxer and former UFC star Mike Perry with a sixth round knockout win at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Junto Nakatani floored challenger Vincent Astrolabio in the first round to defend his WBC bantamweight title in Tokyo.

Anthony Olascuaga won the vacant WBO flyweight world title with a big third round knockout of Riku Kano.

Chantelle Cameron won the vacant WBC interim super-lightweight title with a majority decision win against France’s Elhem Mekhaled in Birmingham.

Jaron Ennis retained his IBF welterweight world champion belt after a TKO victory over David Avanesyan in the fifth round.

Argentinian Fernando Martinez claimed a unanimous decision over the legendary Kazuto Ioka in their super flyweight unification fight in Tokyo.
