Anthony Yarde gets chance to avenge defeat with rematch against Lyndon Arthur

The winner will earn the number one spot with the WBO and a possible world title shot against champion Joe Smith Jr in 2022...

Anthony Yarde will have the chance to avenge his defeat to British light-heavyweight rival Lyndon Arthur on Saturday, December 4, at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Yarde lost a close split decision in December last year although he rebounded by knocking out the lightly-regarded Alex Theran in August, a few weeks after the unbeaten Arthur stopped Davide Faraci.

Promoter Frank Warren revealed whoever comes out on top of the return bout will earn the number one spot with the WBO and a possible world title shot against champion Joe Smith Jr in 2022.

Warren said: "Lyndon and Anthony are both world-class, explosive light-heavyweights and putting them together again makes for a huge domestic occasion. The stakes are very high."
"This is a fight that needs an audience roaring them both on. It was a decent fight last time but there was something big missing and that was the fighters being inspired by fans in the arena," Warren continued.
"I believe the fans at the Copper Box will make a huge difference and we will get something very special from Lyndon and Anthony.
"We had tried to get the Arena in Manchester but venue availability was a struggle. That said, I have absolute faith that the London audience will get behind the fight and roar them both on.
