Anthony Joshua will get 'chinned' by Deontay Wilder, claims British legend

It is believed Deontay Wilder is one of three fighters on Anthony Joshua's radar as a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk is unlikely to happen this year.

Anthony Joshua would taste a devastating KO defeat if he takes on Deontay Wilder, according to Carl Froch.
Joshua was expected to take on Oleksandr Usyk next but with the heavyweight champion back in Ukraine, it looks increasingly unlikely that the southpaw will box this year let alone the summer.
The former two-time champion has drawn up a shortlist of fighters he'd like to face in the meantime and it includes Wilder, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin.

Froch has warned Joshua to stay clear of the 'Bronze Bomber'.

"Business point of view, don't fight Deontay Wilder because you're probably going to get chinned. He's a massive puncher," Froch told Intu Boxing.
"There's a chance you'll get chinned. If you catch one on the chin, you're going over. I don't care if your name is Anthony Joshua or whatever your name is in the heavyweight division.

"He can knock you out with one punch. Tyson Fury nearly found that out a couple of times. So, yeah, I understand why Eddie Hearn said it's a dangerous fight, but it's a great fight for the fans. Go on and jump in there with Deontay Wilder, we all want to see it."

Wilder is weighing up his options after missing out on avenging his defeat to Tyson Fury last year.
Despite knocking him down twice, Wilder went on to lose in the 11th round of their trilogy installment.
Elsewhere, Joyce has spent time with Joshua in the amateur ranks for Team GB and is hopeful of facing Joshua next.
His other possible opponent is Wallin - the same fighter who Joshua beat in the amateurs. The Swede has since been in the ring with Fury and came very close to defeating him in 2019.
Promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to remind people that if Joshua does Wilder, then you cannot class it as an interim bout.
"Let's be honest, it's not an interim fight is it?" Hearn told iFL TV. "It could be bigger than a fight with Usyk.
"Everyone thinks I'm always just championing AJ or whatever, but this guy has proved time and time again that he has no fear of fighting any of these people.
"A name that was mentioned recently was Trevor Bryan, and when I said that to AJ he came back with 'what about Wilder? What about Ortiz?'
"He's all about legacy, resume, challenges and we're lucky as fans to have him because do you know how many people right now would go 'give me an easy touch, someone I can knock over in a round and then we'll move on to Usyk'?"
