Anthony Joshua relishing the prospect of an all-mighty clash with Tyson Fury...

Anthony Joshua says that he sees his proposed fight against Tyson Fury as an opportunity to prove himself against the best in the world.

Joshua, who claimed that he has respect for Fury, said that he isn't afraid to step into the ring with The Gypsy King.

'I haven't got fear of Fury'

The 30-year-old is focused on being the best fighter he can be and not on how fearsome his opponent is.
"I haven't got fear of Fury - whether he's got a better chin than me, a better jab than me, whether he's all of this stuff that people say. So be it. Let me go in there and prove myself. Show you who I am and what I can do," Joshua said to Sky Sports.
With everything that Joshua has already achieved, he is tracking to be one of the all-time greats, provided he can maintain the standards he has set for himself for the next decade.

Cannot compare Joshua to Fury

Joshua said that it wouldn't be fair to compare his career to that of Fury, saying they have taken different paths to heavyweight glory.
"[He] turned professional in 2008 and it took [Fury seven years] to fight for the heavyweight championship of the world," Joshua said.
"He's on a completely different journey. I want to steam through."
Joshua claims that his record speaks for itself, and believes he can beat the undefeated Fury.

"I've fought five champions and been in two unification fights," said Joshua.

"I'm a two-time heavyweight champion in the space of 24 fights and a [seven-year] career. It shows you I am serious. If Fury is serious, I'll take that fight seriously too."

Potential hurdles

Joshua and Fury have bouts pencilled in for December this year. Deontay Wilder is set to take another crack at Fury, a week after Joshua's defence against Kubrat Pulev.

Pulev has already labelled Joshua as arrogant for discussing his plans to fight Fury in a unification bout before getting past the Bulgarian.

Even if both fighters are victorious in December another potential hurdle in the way of a Joshua-Fury unification bout could come up in the guise of a WBO mandatory defence against Oleksandr Usyk for AJ.
