Anthony Joshua told his ‘hunger has gone’ as Eddie Hearn confirms Otto Wallin fight clause

Derek Chisora thinks Anthony Joshua’s 'hunger has gone' but he has still backed the Brit to become a three-time world heavyweight champion.
Joshua’s second reign as world heavyweight champion began when he got revenge over Andy Ruiz Jr when he fought in Saudi Arabia at the end of 2019.
The Brit made one successful defence of his belts before Oleksandr Usyk snatched them away in September 2021.
The Usyk-Joshua rematch was less one-sided, but the latter was still convincingly beaten, and he has attempted to rebuild his reputation over the past year.
Joshua has beaten Jermaine Franklin and Roberto Helenius so far this year and he will face Otto Wallin on the ‘Day of Reckoning’ Saudi Arabia card on December 23.
He has made it clear in recent months that he is vying to become a three-time heavyweight champion and he could potentially face Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF title if he overcomes Wallin.
Chisora has explained why he thinks Joshua’s 'hunger has gone'.
“Boxing is like a Rocky film. Rocky was winning everything, then he boxed Mr T and he stopped running at six o’clock in the morning,” Chisora said via the Up Front podcast.
“I think my brother has made enough money now that the hunger is gone. The hunger is gone. He wants to be a three-time world champion and I will help him to get there, but the hunger in himself I think is gone.”
Despite this, when asked if Joshua can become a three-time world champion, he answered: “Yeah he can do it. He will do it because that will make him amazing, great.”
Wallin – who is a southpaw like Usyk – will be a tough opponent for Joshua and his promoter (Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn) has confirmed that his fighter will have a rematch clause if he loses.
“Yes,” Hearn told Seconds Out when asked if a rematch clause is contracted for the Wallin bout.
“Because it’s Anthony Joshua, the biggest star in the sport.”
