Anthony Joshua signs heavyweight names for new cycling agency

Already promoting Joshua Buatsi and Lawrence Okolie, Anthony Joshua is now looking to make moves in cycling.

Anthony Joshua has helped launch a new cycling agency and hopes to emulate the success he has enjoyed in boxing.
The two-time world heavyweight champion and 258MGT - his management company - have signed some of the most promising young riders in the sport.
Finn Fisher Black (UAE Team Emirates), Sarah Gigante (Team Movistar), Niamh Fisher Black (SD Worx), Oscar Nilsson Julien (British Cycling Academy), Leo Hayter (Team DSM Devo) and Nicholas Dlamini (Team Qhubeka NextHash) are some of the names to have joined his agency.
The 258 Protege agency, which was founded and fronted by Jamie Barlow, will work across all aspects of the sport, including talent representation, contract negotiation, sponsor negotiations and corporate events.

Joshua said: "This is a very exciting venture for our business and we will back Jamie 100 per cent.

"Entering a new sport is a big decision for us and one we are highly motivated to achieve the same level of success we have had in boxing.
"We look forward to working with elite talent that share our vision. Fortunately, we are now in a position to offer this team to elite level cyclists in order to maximise their own career potential on and off the bike."
