Brooklyn Nets @ Cleveland Cavaliers tips, picks and prop bets: Best bets for NBA Paris Game 2024

The Cleveland Cavaliers (21-15) will ‘host’ the Brooklyn Nets (16-21) at Accor Arena in Paris on Thursday evening ( 19:00 GMT).

The Cleveland Cavaliers have sacrificed a home game to make the lengthy trip to Paris on Thursday where they’ll face the Brooklyn Nets.

There will be no shortage of Parisians keen to get a glimpse of Donovan Mitchell doing his thing, the Nets are likely to be the best-supported team.

As is usually the case when the Nets visit London, it’s essentially a home crowd. Much like the Lakers and Bulls, Nets gear has become a fashion statement in Europe.

That doesn’t do much for the teams on the court though and the bookies have installed Cleveland as a -3 favourite on neutral court.

They’ll be without Evan Mobley and Darius Garland, two of their best players, but that’s old news and already factored into this line.

The teams have met just once this season with the Cavs running out 114-113 winners at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on opening night.

That game was a wire-to-wire battle and it’s worth noting the Cavs were a -2 favourite on the Nets court in that gruelling win.

Brooklyn was undervalued and disrespected by the oddsmakers early in the season but the lines are catching up. They’re on a 1-7ATS run and 0-8ATS on the road.

In terms of key matchups, Mikal Bridges struggles against the Cavs. Brooklyn’s main man is averaging 21.2 points per game but just 16.2 in his career against Cleveland.

On the other hand, Cleveland has won eight of 11 and has posted a 7-4 ATS mark during that run. They’re also 7-1ATS as a favourite.

Although this might be the break from the daily grind the Nets need, they’re just 3-13ATS and going up against a team that’s on a roll, so this number seems too small.

Suggested bets

Cleveland Cavaliers -3

Prop: Mikal Bridges under 22.5 points
