Knicks @ Cavaliers tips, picks and prop bets: Injury-hit Cavs to slump to defeat, Julius Randle to steal the show

The New York Knicks (1-2) face the Cleveland Cavaliers (1-2) at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Tuesday night (11.30pm GMT)

The New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers will look to avoid another ghoulish display when they meet on Halloween.

Knicks @ Cavaliers game pick

The Knicks have been priced as an unlikely road favourite due to the questionable status of Cavs star Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell scored 27 against the Nets in the season-opener before dropping 43 points on the Thunder two days later.

In addition, Jarrett Allen, Ty Jerome, Ricky Rubio and Darius Garland, who averaged 21.6 points per game last season, are absent.

Mitchell did participate in practice on Monday but is still listed as questionable, and it would make sense for him to sit out again on Tuesday.

The Cavs have really struggled without their full rotation of players, particularly centre Jarred Allen who is yet to feature. He’s a solid defensive option.

Cleveland is shipping 115ppg and missing and have really struggled late in games so having such limited rotation won’t help.

The Knicks are fighting fit and looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to the Pelicans on Saturday, so they’ll be motivated for this back-to-back.

Bet: New York Knicks -2.5

Knicks @ Cavaliers prop bets

IF Mitchell plays, he has to shoulder all the scoring burden. If he doesn’t, this is a void bet, so it’s well worth a go.

Prop: Donovan Mitchell Over 30.5 points

Julius Randle has pulled in 12, 12 and 11 rebounds in his three appearances this season. With the Cavs shorthanded, he can dominate.

Prop: Julius Randle Over 8.5 rebounds

The Knicks power forward has averaged 24.1, 20.1 and 25.1ppg in the past three seasons. He’s managed just 41 in three games this year, so expect better to come.

Prop: Julius Randle Over 20.5 points
