Nets @ Celtics tips, picks and prop bets: Short-handed Brooklyn set for blowout loss

The Brooklyn Nets (5-2) are looking for revenge as they visit TD Garden to clash with the Boston Celtics (4-4) on Friday night (Sat 0030 GMT).

Nets @ Celtics game pick

After a 5-0 start to the season, the Celtics have lost back-to-back games to the Timberwolves and the 76ers.

Their last win before the two-game slide was a decisive 124-114 beatdown of the Nets at the Barclays Center.

That loss was always likely because the Nets were in a tough back-to-back spot, but it was still by 10 with a deeper squad than they may have available this evening.

Brooklyn will feel pretty good about their efforts since, narrowly losing to the Bucks and beating the Clippers, and go looking for revenge here.

Despite their early season form which has seen them them go 7-0-1 against the spread, bookmakers still undervalue and disrespect them.

That said, the absence of some key players could hamper them too much. If Ben Simmons joins Cam Thomas and Nic Claxton on the side, it’s hard to see this being close.

The Celtics average margin of victory at home was +8.8 points across the whole of last season and we’ve already seen them beat Miami by 8 and Indiana by 41.

Bet: Boston Celtics -10

Nets @ Celtics prop bets

Jrue Holiday has registered at least 11 points in all six outings since his Celtics debut and should be able to beat the line here.

Prop: Jrue Holiday over 13.5 points

Both of these sides have been scoring well so far this season and Boston regularly dropped 120+ on visiting teams last season.

Prop: Jayson Tatum over 27.5 points
