Best tips and picks for Monday’s NBA acca: Nets sink Warriors, Pelicans beat Raptors

There are six games in the NBA on Monday night with the Warriors travelling to face the Nets fresh off of an overtime defeat to the Hawks.

The Brooklyn Nets host the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto Raptors visit the New Orleans Pelicans and more in Monday’s NBA acca which is currently priced at 3/1.

Monday’s NBA acca

Brooklyn Nets to win

New Orleans Pelicans -7.5

Charlotte Hornets +13.5

Golden State Warriors @ Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are looking competitive again. They’ve won four of eight, beating the Lakers, Rockets, Jazz and 76ers. They also lost but covered against Minnesota.

Brooklyn has faced one of the toughest schedules in the NBA over their last 10 games but they’ve been able to exploit situations and this is another one.

The Warriors are fresh off of an overtime loss in Atlanta. Looking at a sample size of 640 games, NBA teams off the back of an overtime loss have lost their next game 55% of the time.

Toronto Raptors @ New Orleans Pelicans

Just like the above situation, the Raptors played in an overtime game last night. Building on our stat, when the overtime game was the night before, that team lost their next game 61% of the time.

Despite building a 23-point lead against the Thunder, Toronto lost by double-digits. It was a total collapse and will be hard to bounce back both physically and mentally.

New Orleans have had two days of rest so they will be fresh and ready to push the pace. Toronto may even opt to rest some starters who played extended minutes on the back of a return from injury.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Charlotte Hornets

The Lakers have won back-to-back games against the Celtics and the Knicks, so the public will be feeling good about them and looking to back them there.

They’re favoured to beat a train wreck of a Hornets team who played just last night by double digits, but this is exactly the sort of game they make hard work of.

The Celtics overlooked them completely, the Knicks struggled without Julius Randle and LeBron James and Anthony Davis won’t be nearly as motivated to beat a poor team.
