Best tips and picks for Tuesday’s NBA acca: Mavericks and Pelicans headline tasty five-fold

The NBA is back in full swing after the All-Star break and we've compiled a fantastic five-fold for Tuesday night's action.

There are 10 games in the NBA on Tuesday night and as we search for an acca win on the hardcourt.

We’ve picked five selections for this evening’s NBA acca and as always, we’ll utilise Planet Sport Bet’s alternative handicaps to give ourselves some room for error.

Tonight’s effort is priced at 9/1 at the time of writing but if you bet with Planet Sport Bet, they'll boost your winnings by 50%!

Tuesday’s NBA acca

Detroit Pistons +13.5

New Orleans Pelicans WIN

Dallas Mavericks +8.5

Portland Trail Blazers +9.5

Washington Wizards +14.5

Detroit Pistons @ Chicago Bulls

The Bulls are moving towards a winning record at 27-30 having just put the Pelicans away a couple of nights ago, 114-106 as a +5 underdog.

Now they have to get up for the lowly Pistons who have lost their last six to drop to a woeful 8-49, so not only are they in letdown territory, but what’s the motivation to beat up on a team this bad?

That same scenario has allowed Detroit to go 14-5 ATS through their last 19. Not only that, the Bulls face a much bigger divisional matchup against the Cavaliers tomorrow night.

New Orleans Pelicans @ New York Knicks

The Pelicans fly into New York on fresh wings having enjoyed some rest yesterday. Meanwhile, the Knicks nearly dropped the ball and lost at home to the Pistons.

They had to fight to get that win over the line as they continued to struggle without Julius Randle and OG Anunoby.

Weirdly, the Knicks look so bad without Anunoby given he wasn’t even their player a month ago, but here we are. They also expended a lot of energy in that contest.

Dallas Mavericks @ Cleveland Cavaliers

For as long as Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving are on the floor together and the Mavericks are playing like they are, Dallas are worth riding like a rodeo bull.

At some point, you’ll come flying off, but you’ll enjoy the ride. Being that we can take the extended spread, it feels like a lot to ask Cleveland to cover.

The +5 on offer is already a worthwhile look as we can’t write off the Mavs pulling off an upset, so we’re more than happy to take +8.5.

Miami Heat @ Portland Trail Blazers

There’s no doubt the Heat are the better team and they were wildly underestimated last night as they knocked off the Sacramento Kings despite being minus a few stars.

They’ve won back-to-back games as underdogs since the All-Star break and now they’re being asked to win handily on the road against a losing team.

The motivation just isn’t the same, especially with a limited pool of players due to injuries and the defending champion Denver Nuggets to come on Thursday.

Golden State Warriors @ Washington Wizards

This line opened at Golden State -10 and has immediately been bet up to +11.5, which is very handy for us.

Here we bet on a double-digit underdog in a non-conference match and we know that they’re typically covering the spread around 60% of the time.

The Wizards look better with Kyle Kuzma as the focus of their attack and if Deni Avdija suits up, that’ll help our cause.
