The Lakers make the long trip from the home dressing room to the away dressing room in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The Lakers are 32-18 on the season with an ATS record of 27-33, while the Clippers are 37-19 with a winning ATS record of 29-27.

The line opened at -5.5 in favour of a Clips team minus Paul George, which admittedly felt a steep price to pay. It’s since been backed down to -3.5.

LeBron James is again listed as questionable for the Lakers but there seems little doubt he’ll miss this game, while Anthony Davis is probable.

Notably, the Clippers have won 12 of 14 meetings with the Lakers, covered the spread in 12 of 15 and are on a 7-0 run when listed as the home team in the fixture.

Both teams are faring similarly on offence but what stands out is that while the Clippers' defence is straight-up better, that hasn’t been the case over the last 10 games.

They’ve struggled to defend inside and also in transition, which is where the Lakers excel. Their best work is done on the break and James and Davis should have success at the rim.
