NBA playoffs: LA Lakers handed huge Anthony Davis boost ahead of crunch Warriors clash

There appears to be good news on the Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis injury front ahead of a huge Game Six with the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis looks like he will be available for Friday's huge Game Six with the Golden State Warriors after suffering a suspected concussion on Sunday night.

Davis was inadvertently elbowed in the fourth quarter of Game Five of the Western Conference semi-finals series against the Warriors on Sunday.
He was in visible pain, appeared to be unstable, and reportedly was taken in a wheelchair to the locker room.
Despite all that, TNT's Chris Haynes reported late on Wednesday that Davis appears to have avoided a concussion, which will make him available for Friday night.
"Early diagnosis indicates Anthony Davis appears to have avoided a concussion and is doing much better now," Haynes reported.

The Lakers lost Game Five 121-106. Davis had 23 points and nine rebounds in 32 minutes but did not have any blocks or steals.

However, they still the series 3-2 and head home for Game Six on Friday with another chance to clinch the overall victory.
