NBA playoff preview and tips: Heat, Knicks, Lakers and Warriors face a crucial game six

Miami Heat hope to wrap up the series when hosting the New York Knicks, while Golden State Warriors look to level the scores against the Los Angeles Lakers.

What a week of basketball we've been treated to. The Celtics beat the 76ers in a defensive game last night to force a game seven at TD Garden. That will be some spectacle.
Elsewhere, Nikola Jokic made more history with another triple-double as the Denver Nuggets eliminated the Phoenix Suns in six games. They look like Championship material.

Suggested Bets

Miami Heat -5

Golden State Warriors +2

Knicks @ Heat - Game Six verdict

New York's 112-103 win over Miami a few days ago forced a game six at Kaseya Center. With the Knicks' home advantage gone, the Heat have a chance to eliminate them in six.
If Miami can advance this evening, they'll be afforded a longer rest than either the Celtics or the 76ers who have a game seven to come over the weekend. That's added incentive.
Miami have been nursing Jimmy Butler through this series at times, but he's been good when he's played and he seems probable for Friday's match.
Miami are on a 6-0ATS run on home court, also going 46-21ATS in their last 67 playoff games as a favourite. The Knicks have been a good road bet the past few seasons, but they're 2-8ATS in their last 10 playoff games as an underdog.
We're going to recommend a bet on Miami getting the job done in game six. They should be able to shut down the Knicks and make it a lower-scoring game played their way.

Warriors @ Lakers - Game Six verdict

Forget form. Forget that the Warriors have been atrocious for most of the year on their travels, and forget how good Anthony Davis and LeBron James are.
No team has been in more pressure situations than the Golden State Warriors in recent years. They're constantly in playoff finals and usually winning them. They can handle this situation.
If Steph Curry and his Warriors don't win this game, they are eliminated. If they do win, they'll be favourites to advance in game seven back home.
There are no stats or trends that point towards the Warriors or away from the Lakers in this one, but a game seven is what every NBA fan wants and deserves and it just feels likely. Back Steph Curry to turn it on and lift the Warriors to a victory.
