Liverpool vs Tottenham tips and predictions: Battle of the depressed too close to call

Spurs are a traditional club and in keeping with tradition, they are making a complete meal of the run-in.

Since then, Ange Postecoglou’s men have endured a calamitous run, bagging two wins from seven matches and losing their last three.

A 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Newcastle, a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal and a 2-0 loss to Chelsea appear to have dashed Tottenham’s return to the elite of continental soccer.

The slightest bit of hope left would inevitably evaporate should Spurs fall against Liverpool at Anfield.

Speaking of the Reds, Jurgen Klopp’s men have collapsed in the final weeks of the season picking up two wins from seven games across all competitions.

The Anfield effect also appears diluted considering Liverpool have lost their last two games at home – both to nil.
