Real Betis vs Real Madrid tips and predictions: Injury-hit visitors to extend winning run against the odds

Real Betis welcome a battered and bruised Real Madrid to Estadio Benito Villamarin in Sevilla on Saturday afternoon in La Liga (1515 GMT).

After 15 rounds in La Liga, Real Betis are seventh with 25 points while Real Madrid, who have 38 points, lead the league on goal difference ahead of Girona.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are aiming to finish in the top five in La Liga but aren’t in the best form, winning one of their previous four.

On the other hand, league leaders Real Madrid have won their last five matches despite an extensive injury list and are seen as the favourites for their trip to Andalusia.

Thibaut Courtois, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militao and Vinicius Junior just some of the big names that could miss out.

Los Verdiblancos’ most recent match was a scoreless draw with Almeria, in which they also lost defender Hector Bellerin to a first-half red card.

Pellegrini’s team last played at home on November 26th, when they defeated Las Palmas by a score of 1-0 thanks to a goal by Willian José. The team also recently drew 1-1 with Sevilla in the El Gran Derby.

Last time out, Real took advantage of Barcelona and Girona's missteps to climb to first place in La Liga. Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Granada 2-0 thanks to goals from Brahim Diaz and Rodrygo.

Rodrygo was also influential in their previous away game which saw the side from the capital beat Cadiz 3-0.
