Wakefield Wildcats prop Kyle Amor has been ruled out for two months after he broke a bone in his hand.
Amor, who used to ply his trade at Leeds Rhinos, suffered the injury in their Super League qin over Widnes Vikings last weekend.
Wakefield coach Richard Agar said Amor’s injury was a setback for the team.
“Kyle has broken a bone in his hand,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“He is going to have an operation to wire it.
“That is going to put him out for six to eight weeks, so it’s a fairly big blow for us at this stage.
“Kyle has gone all right in our last couple of games.
“He gives us a bit of punch up front and was coming along really well.
“He is pretty down about it, but he will get it operated on and he’ll start his recovery from then.
“We will get him back as quick as we can.”
