Yakubu Aiyegbeni says he is enjoying his football at Blackburn Rovers and never considered joining Queens Park Rangers last month.
The Nigerian became a target of the R’s after manager Mark Hughes took over from Neil Warnock earlier this season.
However, the 29-year-old striker informed the London club he had no plans to leave Ewood Park.
“I know QPR want me, but I’d made up my mind I’m not going there so I told them,” explained Yakubu.
“I want to achieve things here, like keeping the club in the Premier League.
“The fans and players have been good for me. You don’t turn your back on that.
“I didn’t want to come here for a few months and then leave again. My family and I are happy here.”
