Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has apologised for his conduct in a bid to revive his career.
The Argentine recently returned to City after nearly four months in his homeland following a fall-out with head coach Roberto Mancini.
The pair’s relationship broke down when Tevez refused to take the field in a Champions League loss at Bayern Munich in September.
Tevez, on his return to England last week, strained matters further when he claimed Mancini treated him “like a dog” prior to their bust up.
However, the 28-year-old has now issued an apology via his employers.
In a statement released by City, Tevez said: “I wish to apologise sincerely and unreservedly to everybody I have let down and to whom my actions over the last few months have caused offence.
“My wish is to concentrate on playing football for Manchester City Football Club.”
