Newcastle manager Alan Pardew admits his team are aiming to chase down Chelsea and claim fourth place in the Premier League.
The Magpies are currently fifth in the standings, three points behind the fourth-placed Blues, and Pardew believes a Champions League spot is within their reach.
“We’ve got to keep it going and chase down Chelsea,” said Pardew.
“It’s a great opportunity now and hopefully we can achieve something special.
“It’s incredible. We’re fifth and above Arsenal and Liverpool.
“We’ve got 39 points and we’re safe so that’s one job done. Now we’ve got 15 cup finals and it’s all to play for.”
The Tyneside outfit’s next league clash is a home game against Aston Villa on Sunday. They beat Blackburn 2-0 last time out.
