Mphela on Rangers’ radar

Queens Park Rangers are believed to have expressed an interest in South African striker Katlego Mphela.

Nicknamed ‘Killer’, Mphela is the leading scorer in the Premier Soccer League this season with nine goals, and is the third highest Bafana Bafana scorer of all time with 22 goals in 44 matches.

With Rangers manager Mark Hughes searching for fresh additions to his strike department following his recent arrival at Loftus Road, Mphela is understood to be on the radar.

While the player’s business manager Glyn Binkin was not willing to reveal any details, he did confirm an approach for the 27-year-old.

“There has been an enquiry made, but I can’t comment further than that,” Binkin told KickOff.com.
