King: Already pining for Redknapp

While England goes gaga for Harry Redknapp to takeover as their new coach, Tottenham skipper Ledley King hopes the club’s manager does not leave.
Redknapp is the odds-on favourite to step into the Three Lions void left by Fabio Capello’s resignation last Wednesday.
He is also the supporters choice for the national position, with many of his peers - notably Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson - also touting the 64-year-old as the best candidate.
Redknapp has ruled out taking up the added responsibility of coaching his country on top of his commitments in North London, but has admitted he would consider taking up the post if approached.
King, however, believes the former Portsmouth and West Ham tactician still has much to accomplish at White Lane as third-placed Spurs go in search of their first Premier League title since 1961.
“As a group of players we love him and hopefully he will stay,” said the centre-back.
“This sort of speculation always happens in football, but we would love to keep him.
“Harry has brought the club on massively. We were bottom of the league when he first came in and the results picked up immediately.
“Straight away he showed his people skills, his ability to lift players even when their confidence was low.
“He has gone from strength to strength, brought in some good, experienced players who know what it takes. It has been really good.”
