Henry: I can always do more

2012-02-14 10:50:38

Thierry Henry may have lived up to his status as an Arsenal legend during his short-term return to the club, but the striker insists he can “always do more”.

The Gunners’ all-time leading goal scorer signed a two-month loan deal from New York Red Bulls last month and has already banged home three goals for the north Londoners, including winners against Leeds in the FA Cup fourth round and Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.

“You can always do more,” he told the club’s official website. “I was in the dressing room (on Saturday) thinking I missed a chance against Aston Villa when I came on and should have put the ball in the back of the net.

“But if you had asked me if I would rather have scored against Villa or this one against Sunderland, I think I would have chosen this opportunity against Sunderland. You can always do better, that is always what I tell myself.”

The Frenchman’s three goals have taken his tally for Arsenal to 229, but the striker will have a chance to stretch that number when he completes his loan stay at the club against AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“We will see after the last game against Milan how it was for me,” he added.
