Lille superstar Eden Hazard says he has not yet signed for Tottenham, but insists a move to the Premier League will “happen soon”.
The Belgium hitman has set the European stage ablaze since picking up the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award last term, catching the attentions of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea.
However, the 21-year-old says he is excited about the prospect of playing at White Hart Lane, and that a move to England’s top-flight league is very much on the cards.
He said: “Maybe it will be Tottenham. It is a great English club. I said that I would go to England and there is very good players (at Spurs). I have not yet signed. This is going to happen soon”.
The player did, however, admit he would have to seriously reconsider his position should one of Spain’s big dogs come calling.
“Spain is perhaps more my style of game but (if I move there) it must be to either Barcelona or Real Madrid.”
