Cool Cisse chuffed with debut

Newcastle recruit Papiss Cisse says he felt no pressure during his dream debut against Aston Villa this past weekend.

The £10million signing netted a 71st minute winner off the bench in a 2-1 success at Sports Direct Arena on Sunday.

When asked if he felt nervous before replacing the injured Leon Best 14 minutes in, the ex-Freiburg striker said he was relatively calm. 

“No, not really, not real pressure,” he told Press Association.

“I wanted to do well, that’s for sure, but I knew yesterday I was going to be on the bench, so I had time to prepare. There was not so much pressure, I was just itching to start.

“It was a dream debut, thank God, and I am really happy to be at Newcastle.”
