Goals from Angel Rangel, Danny Graham and Nathan Dyer helped Swansea overcome dogged Barnsley in the FA Cup third round.
The visitors started strongly but Swansea found themselves behind after 29 minutes when in-form forward Ricardo Vaz Te put the Tykes ahead after a swift counter.
Barnsley’s lead lasted barely a minute as Dyer set up Rangel to level matters from close range.
Swansea took the lead for the first time in the early stages of the second half as Graham unleashed a fierce strike from 30-yards, giving Barnsley keeper Luke Steele no chance.
Wayne Routledge then raced down the left-flank and cut the ball back to Dyer, who made no mistake as he secured a 3-1 lead for the Welsh side on 54 minutes.
However, the Championship outfit didn’t give up and Vaz Te doubled his tally on 65 minutes after the Swans failed to deal with Danny Drinkwater’s free-kick.
Barnsley had chances to level the match but the Swans managed to seal the win on 89 minutes as Graham grabbed his second of the afternoon following good work from Routledge and Joe Allen.
